We are thrilled to unroll Session IV this week. Workshops are running at Beeman, Robinson, Lincoln and Bristol Elementary Schools. E-mail Mandy Chesley-Park (mchesleypark@anesu.org) for more information. Our Expanded Learning Program continues to offer a myriad of after-school opportunities for students in K-6th grade. Stay tuned as we grow, evolve, and work to better meet the needs of the students and families we serve. Here are some snippets from across the SU.
Our Expanded Learning Program is tailored to meet the needs of elementary school-aged children in Addison County, Vermont. Our after-school programming includes exciting learning opportunities for students that correspond to Common Core learning standards and school driven learning goals. All workshops are guided by highly trained professionals and licensed teachers, relying on creative, experiential learning strategies.

Bristol Elementary School's Session Three
ANESU's Expanded Learning Program offered five workshops at Bristol Elementary School for the third session of the school year. The workshops included; Scholars Club, Superhero Club, Origami, African Drumming and Dance, and Sign Language. Also, for the first time, Ballet and Pottery were offered through a partnership with the Bristol Recreation Program. Both the Sign Language group and the African Drumming and Dancing group will be performing at the upcoming assembly at BES on Friday, February 27th, at 8:40. Despite the circulating illnesses that winter brings, we were able to gather most of the students for a group photo (above). Below are pictures from each of the workshops. We are looking forward to starting session four this coming Tuesday, February 24th!

Robinson Students Visit Different Spanish Speaking Countries
Robinson ELP students enjoyed a fun filled session of Spanish with Mrs. Lake. They learned about different countries and how to say all kinds of things in Spanish. At our school MARS assembly they performed a song about while modeling their handmade sombreros!
Beeman continues to work really hard at Expanded Learning. Our after school routine begins with a healthy snack followed by purposeful movement. Thursday brought a great word (spelling, literacy) activity with a valentine theme....spectacular for all!
